Our Special Agents – Career Interview: Virginie B., Sales Administrator
Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Virginie BOUSSELY-BEAUNE. I’ve been with PI Services for 20 years, and I work as a Sales Administrator.
PI Services in three words?
I’d say: quality, friendliness, and team spirit.
What’s your professional background?
I hold a degree in Applied Foreign Languages, specialising in English and Italian. I began my career as a receptionist for a major oil company. Thanks to the Sales Director there, I got the opportunity to join PI Services. I seized that chance—and I’ve been with PI Services ever since!
What does your job involve?
When I first joined PI Services, I was hired as an Administrative Assistant. My role covered a range of responsibilities, including invoicing, some HR tasks like managing employee leave and distributing meal vouchers, welcoming visitors, handling calls, and also some sales-related duties like sending small licence renewal quotes to clients.
Today, I’m a Sales Administrator. I still handle all invoicing, and I work closely with the Sales Director, helping draft commercial proposals for clients. I also liaise with our suppliers, taking care of purchase orders, invoice processing, and managing external staff and software vendors. I collaborate with the technical team as well to track project progress, which helps me prepare monthly billing.
How would you describe life at PI Services?
Across all departments—administrative, sales, and technical—there’s a great team spirit. The management and marketing team also do a fantastic job of organising regular themed events. These allow us to catch up with internal PI Services colleagues working at client sites, as well as with our external consultants.
Your favourite moment?
That would be the best day of the week—Friday! And not just because it’s the end of the week, but because every Friday morning, PI Services provides breakfast. It’s a lovely way to start the day and share a moment with the team.
What are your career ambitions?
I’ve already progressed in my role and I’m really happy with what I do. Maybe at some point, I could move into a more commercial position with more account responsibility—but for now, everything’s going really well, so I’m not looking to make any changes.
